Groomer Report

3/28/19

We are officially done grooming for the season. Trails close on April 1st, please respect our land owners and stick to trails on state land only. Our trails still have snow but are really wet and icy. We would like to thank everyone that donated, came to our events and rode our trails, and supported the club in anyway it has been a great season!! We would also like to give a special thanks Moose Jaw, Bobs Place, Clyde’s, and Crash Landing for their continued support all around, we couldn’t do it without you guys!! Only 248 more days until the start of the 2019-20 snowmobile season!! 

3/24/19

All our trails were groomed on Friday night except for the railroad grade and are in good shape!

3/20/19

One of our groomers went out last night and groomed from the barn to big pine, down center trail to Moose Jaw and back. The trails are holding up well considering all of the warm weather and rain we have had lately. Don’t forget to stop by our end of the year party on Saturday and thank your groomer operators for a fantastic season!!!

3/16/19

All our trails were groomed last night except for the railroad grade. Overall all of the trails are in great condition and should make for some good riding this weekend. We will have groomers headed back out tonight!

3/13/19

The railroad grade was groomed last night and is in pretty good shape. We have more rain on the way tomorrow with highs around 52, looks like spring is finally here. We are hoping to have groomers out Friday night to clean up the trails for the weekend.

The railroad grade and East side, Groomer Barn to Alanson and Pellston were groomed last night and in good condition.

3/9/19

The entire HSSC trail system was groomed last night and is in great condition!! Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful Saturday for riding with a high of 35 today! With that in mind we are expecting that trail conditions will deteriorate as the day goes on, we will have groomers out tonight! Ride safe!

Groomers are headed out tonight, as all of you know it is staying light out later so please be aware that the groomers usually head out at about 6. Please watch for them on the trails. Ride safe!

The railroad grade was groomed last night and is in great shape!!

All trails were groomed last night and I great condition!

3/2/19

All trails are in excellent condition! The west side from the Groomer Barn was groomed last night, all other trails didn’t need any grooming. It’s going to be a beautiful Saturday to get out and ride!! ❄️❄️❄️

2/28/19

Everything is officially cleaned up after the storm!! A big thanks to everyone that helped clear brush and trees out of the trail, and a huge thanks to our groomers that worked hard all week to get it done! The railroad grade was groomed last night along with trail 71 from the groomer barn to Alanson and trail 711.

2/27/19

We were not able to make it to Alanson yesterday to finish cleaning up the trail but have a groomer out there right now finishing it up! After tonight all trails will have been cleaned up from the storm, but please be aware there might be some “widow makers” hidden high up in the trees waiting to fall with the next wind! The railroad grade is also being groomed tonight!

2/26/19

Our club members have been working hard to get all the trails cleaned up after the storm. The rail road grade, and everything to the West of the groomer barn to Cross Village and Larks Lake is taken care of and we are working on the East side to Alanson and Pellston today!

2/25/19

After the big storm last night there are a lot of fallen down trees/branches in the trails along with a lot of drifts. Please ride with caution. The railroad grade was cleaned up this afternoon and we have groomers headed out tonight. Will have another update tomorrow.

2/24/19

All trails were groomed again last night and are in great condition! With all the wind look out for drifts and branches in the trails. We have a big storm
moving in and looks like we should get some good snow from it!

The entire HSSC trail system was groomed last night and is in good condition! Groomers are heading out tonight depending on the weather, the rain is on it’s way.

The railroad grade was groomed last night and is in good condition!

2/18/19

All trails except for the railroad grade were groomed last night, that trail will be groomed tonight. We have a ton of snow out there and looks like more on the way later this week!! Trails are in good-excellent condition!

2/17/19

All the groomers were out again last night and the entire HSSC trail system was groomed again! Trails are in good-excellent condition, with all the traffic this weekend the trails have been taking a beating, so are getting bumpy as the day goes on.

The entire HSSC trail System was groomed last night and is in excellent condition. It’s a great day to get out an ride!!

2/15/19

The railroad grade was groomed on Wednesday night and the East side from the Groomer Barn to Pellston & Alanson along with the West side from the barn to Larks Lake was groomed last night. All 3 groomers are going out again tonight! Trail conditions are excellent!! Don’t forget about Clyde’s Ride tomorrow, hope to see you all there!!!!

2/14/19

We have gotten about 12” of snow in the last few days, the groomers are out tonight pushing back banks, taking care of the drifts and making our trails flat!!

All trails were groomed again last night and are in excellent condition just a little on the hard side!

All trails were groomed last night and are in excellent condition, it’s a great day to get out and ride!!

2/6/19

The rail road grade, trail 7, was groomed last night and is in good condition and still has a good base except in front of the Airport, that area is pretty bare. With all the rain we got the trails are pretty hard and icy but would say in good-fair condition overall. We are hoping to get out and groom all the trails this weekend!!

2/3/19

All trails were groomed again last night, trail conditions are good. Trail 7 & 710 have been getting a lot of drifts with the high winds we have had. It was freezing rain last night and is supposed to all day today so trails will likely be icy.

2/2/19

All trails were groomed last night, we have a good 14” of base out there and the trails are in good condition! Please watch out for any open areas, with the wind we have had lately we are getting some pretty bad drifts, the trails are also icy on some corners. Looks like we have some warm weather and possibly some rain on the way Sunday & Monday.
