Groomer Report
We have over 9” of fresh snow, with more forecasted. A lot of the snow has been lake affect but our groomers are out making base.
The current forecast is mainly lake affect with cold weather this week.
We did not print new trail maps this year. The 2018-2019 is the current map and there are two trail changes, our Trail #3 has been extended three miles and our Trail #614 ends at county line rd. PICK THEM UP AT AREA BUSINESSES. SEE http://WELLSTONWINTERTRAILS.COM FOR OUR MAP SPONSORS.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU USE THE STAGING AREA AT THE BARN ON OLD HOUSE PLEASE ONLY USE THE CENTER ENTRANCE. THE SIDE ENTRANCES ARE USED BY THE GROOMING EQUIPMENT

We would like to remind riders to stay on the trails. We do have some trails that go through private properties. Recently some landowners in other parts of the state have withdrawn their permission to use their property for trails due to riders leaving the trails. One example is the trail between East Jordon and Charlevoix. We do not want that to happen here.
Thanks for your cooperation!
Our groomers are now equipped with Collett Groomer Warning Beacons. “Collett Communicator’s of Oakbank, MB Canada Groomer Warning Beacons or GWB’s are devices that are installed on trail groomers and transmit a 900MHz radio signal ” dee-da ” …. “dee-da ” that can be received on channel #1 of all Collett ‘ 900 ‘ series Communicators. This signal warns snowmobilers that a groomer is near and they should slow down and be prepared to stop.

Our Groomer Barn, constructed in 2014 stores our groomers and other equipment. Both the barn and the new tractor we put into service last year will aid us in keeping the trails in good shape in the coming season.
